The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, demons, and dark forces increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as key figures in House Halovar could help the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This results in them little choice but to head to the northern region in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Explorers and Strategists groups.

Fans can anticipate finding out which players will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on next week.
