The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
